Definition: One who generates, begets, causes, or produces.
I suppose in some way, we are all generators of something: art, the next generation, work, chaos, peace... the list is endless. We all produce something with our lives both good and bad. Where did this drive to create come from? Our Creator. The ultimate Artist. The One who started this all. He put a drive inside all of us to not only create something but to create something that lasts. But what lasts on this earth? Marble? Steel? A legacy? Gold? Digital currency? These all may last for a while but nothing lasts forever here on earth that moths, time, rust, or loss of power can't take away. In fact, not even the body you're living in right now will stand the test of time. It's a guarantee that 100% of us will die at some point.
The only thing that stands the test of time is Truth. Pontius Pilot asked Jesus "What is truth?" not realizing that he was talking to the Truth in human form. Jesus claimed to be "the Way, the Truth, and the Life" and that no one gets to the Father (God) except through him (John 14:6). Do you believe that? Either Jesus was crazy in which case nothing he said really matters. Or he was right and indeed the Son of God as he claimed and everything he said was stamped TRUE by God the Father, the Creator of all things. For God does not and cannot lie (Numbers 23:19, Hebrews 6:18).
So what matters? Regardless of what you believe, Truth matters. Is it out there? Yes. Can it be found? Yes and his name is Jesus Christ. And this is the most important truth you can find: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
My life, my art and my work are not really about me at all. But about the Truth found in my Savior and my desire to share the Truth with others. "For every good and perfect gift comes from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17
Don't take my word for it though. I encourage you to seek Truth with all your heart and you, too, will find the One whom your soul loves; the Truth that never changes: Jesus Christ
